The super high resolution web cam is located on the SausalitoYachtclub.org website AND in our new mobile app, available on Google Apps.
1. Watch the ferries come and go.
Enjoy the docking antics of various ferry captains and laugh at their attempts to land. Use this view to see the ferry approaching to know when your spouse is arriving from The City, so you can meet them at the club.
2) Check out dock space
See if there's room at the dock and whether a mooring ball in available before you leave the slip. It's empty now, on a March morning when the club is closed, but come summer, you're going to want to check.
3) Photobomb the webcam. In the photo above, there's a little corner of the deck, where you can stand and tell your friends to check in. (Right in the corner where the words "Sausalito Yacht Club" appear.) Or you and your friends can stand on the dock, below and perform the latest dance craze.
4) Check conditions on the bay.
Is it socked in? About to rain? Windy as hell? Calm as glass? Too crowded? Has the tide turned? See conditions at a glance, and check our weather tools at http://sausalitoyachtclub.org/Weather/Webcam.aspx
5) Take a meditation break
Our amazing webcam is so high rez that it looks fabulous at night as well as by day. If you're having a stressful day, log in to http://sausalitoyachtclub.org/Weather/Webcam.aspx, make the window full screen, and zone out. In a few minutes, all your cares will drop away as you drift off into fond memories of your last sail on the bay or fantasize about your next boating vacation.
How do you use the new SYC webcam? Let us know in the comments below.
The Jaws Pursuit race will start from our dock on March 23, so if you can't make it down to the club, you can watch the start, finish, and much of the race via webcam.
